October 21st, 2008 - Tuesday
Today was my first day working at my new job. To celebrate, we went to a Temple University football game at Lincoln Financial Field, where the Eagles play.
The Owls were playing the Ohio University Bobcats and a former student of Jeremy's (Egg), who works for OU, got us and some other friends of ours sideline passes. Only catch was, it was on the OU sideline.
Not a problem since I lived in Athens, Ohio for two years awhile back. I love Ohio University and was not really rooting for either team (although we probably should have been rooting for Temple). Ssshhh...
Although it was FREEEEEZING outside, we still had a fun time on the sidelines hanging out with old friends and catching up with Egg. The stadium was nice (I doubt I will ever be on the sidelines during an Eagles game) and we got to hang out in the press room, eat free food and go in the press box where Ohio Radio was covering the game.
Only downside was I brought my little camera. I could hve gotten some amazing shots with my Rebel and zoom lens. Also, since we were on the OU side, we missed Bill Cosby, who came out at the start of the game and walked along the sidelines saying hi to everyone on the TEMPLE side. Sigh. Story of my life.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month...
Roofus - the OU Bobcat, who the Temple fans lovingly knicknamed "Roofus the Doofus"
There's Dr Huxtable on the jumbotron.
This guy's job for ESPN is just to carry around the cables all night.
