I found out today that my brother has to go to Iraq in eleven days. He will be at an airbase in Balad, Iraq and will miss the next six months of his three children's lives. His wife is also in the Air Force. Hopefully, they will not need her as well.
I understand that this is the life he signed up for eighteen years ago when he joined the military, but it doesn't make it any easier.

My nephew just went off to Iraq... The best strength for me right now is family. We are all worried, but as long as we hold eachother up we'll find a way to make it.
