I'm all packed and ready to go!!!



I'm off to California for a week to see family for a few days, then spend some quiet time with my love on my birthday. It will be a nice change of pace.

Since I will be boycotting all computers while I'm gone, I'll update with all my daily pictures from my trip when I get back.

Here is a job ticket that was given to us by someone on our account team today. Made for a good 30 minutes of hysterics around the office this afternoon.

Here is the latest wall we did at BK Corporate offices. It is in a new section of the building on the fourth floor. They wanted something that would communicate the Burger King Brand and we suggested that it involve the Global Branding aspect of the company.

So I came up with a simple concept of a world map with various BK facts all around it, simple and effective. It also gives the employees and visitors something to read while they are waiting for the elevator.













This project started out waaay too easy, then we hit some major glitches along the way. But I think it came out pretty good. And BK is happy, so that's cool.

See the little yellow fire hydrant?



That hydrant marked the end of my 16 mile run this morning. It was literally like seeing a mirage in the middle of the desert. Only it was really there...thank God!

I finally got a new phone. And it's extremely red which I'm kinda totally digging. Nothing too fancy, just something to tide me over until Apple gets the iphone just right for me to buy.

*By "just right" I mean about $300 cheaper with about 20 more gigs of ram, faster internet, better phone quality, thinner body and all the other kinks and features they need to figure out and add.

Here is another wall we are doing at BK corporate.



This was the first stage of the installation and unfortunately there were one or two things wrong with it that I wont elaborate on. Let's just say that I found out a lot about some of the people I work with and I now know for a fact that they have my back, which is a really good feeling.

Anyway, once it is fixed and the final pieces are installed on top of it, I'm sure it will look great...hopefully.

Who knew a coffee table could be in so many pieces?!?!





It came out really nice though! Thank goodness Jeremy ignored me after I told him I would put it together myself. He is a lot handier than I give him credit for. It only took the two of us 2.5 hours to put together. Sigh.

August 13th, 2007 - Monday

It's the first day of the 3rd grade!!!



Shortly after we took McKenzie to the bus stop for her first day of school, my mom and I flew back to Florida. It was a great couple of days.
